These workshops are designed to provide updates and opportunities for dialogue among department chairs. Most sessions are available for all department chairs, however, some are specifically for new department chairs only (as designated under those titles).

Reappointment, Promotion & Tenure Workshop

This is a general annual workshop open to all faculty
Department Chairs are encouraged to attend the first part of this two-part workshop when participants will hear an overview of campus policies and procedures related to promotion and tenure as well as tips and updates for developing a Personnel Action Dossier (PAD).

Note: After this general session, break-out rooms will, be available for participants to hear tips and advice from faculty who have recently earned tenure and promotion to full professor. Chairs may choose to leave the session before this segment of the workshop, but attending the first part will help to ensure you are hearing the same information being shared with faculty about these important processes.
